NDI-Baskets

Your thesis becomes a product. Define the criteria — the platform builds it, grades it, and keeps it honest.

1. Define your criteria
Market cap, momentum, yield, sector, P/E — 60+ financial metrics. Set your filters, the platform finds what matches. Near-misses shown so you can adjust your thresholds.
2. Auto-reconstituting
Monthly, the basket reconstitutes: criteria filters decide membership (who’s in), Axiom grades provide a forward-looking quality gate (drop what deteriorated), and the efficient frontier re-optimizes weights (how much of each).
3. Axiom-graded
Every basket gets the same Axiom grade as individual stocks — Mu, Sigma, earnings intelligence, regime awareness. Private or public, same rigor. The grade follows the asset, not the audience.
4. Efficient frontier optimized
Weighting isn’t equal-by-default. The optimizer finds max-Sharpe, min-risk, or target-return allocations across your basket’s assets. Backed by real correlation data from hundreds of assets.
5. Backtested honestly
Reconstituting backtest — not a static backtest that cheats with hindsight. Every month in the past, the basket re-evaluates criteria from that date’s trailing data. What you would have held, not what you wish you held.
6. Private or public
Keep it for yourself, or publish it to the marketplace. Public baskets get the full gauntlet — nutrition label, Bazaar Rating, tested against random. Your thesis, your choice.
Examples

From simple to sophisticated

SIMPLE AI Capex Winners

“I believe companies spending billions on AI infrastructure will outperform. Prove it.”

Criteria Sector: Technology
Market cap ≥ $50B
Axiom Grade ≥ B
Members Top 10 by Axiom Mu
Weighting EF Max-Sharpe — the optimizer decides how much NVDA vs MSFT vs AVGO
What happens Monthly, if a stock’s Axiom Grade drops below B, it’s out. New qualifiers enter. No manual rebalancing.
SOPHISTICATED Recession-Proof Income

“I want steady income that survives a downturn. No high-yield traps. No dividend cutters.”

Criteria Dividend yield ≥ 2.5%
Consecutive dividend years ≥ 10
Max drawdown (1yr) ≤ 25%
Beta ≤ 0.8 (less volatile than market)
Axiom Mu > 5% (not just income — growth too)
Members Top 15 by Sharpe ratio (best risk-adjusted)
Weighting EF Min-Risk — optimize for stability, not maximum return
What happens A stock that cuts its dividend or breaches the drawdown limit is automatically removed at next reconstitution. No emotion, no delay.
INCOME + OPTIONS Dividend & Covered Call Income

“I want dividend income AND covered call premium. Two income streams from the same holdings.”

Criteria Dividend yield ≥ 2%
Options-eligible (liquid options chain)
Market cap ≥ $20B
Axiom Grade ≥ C+ (no junk)
Weighting EF Max-Sharpe — optimized for total return (dividends + premium + appreciation)
Covered calls Sell monthly calls on each holding
Strike: 5-10% out-of-the-money
Premium adds 3-8% annualized income on top of dividends
Tax-aware strikes IRA/Roth: Aggressive strikes (closer to spot) — premium is tax-deferred or tax-free. Maximize income.
Taxable: Per-lot awareness. FIFO matters. Short-term lots get wider strikes to avoid triggering short-term cap gains. Long-term lots can be tighter. Mixed lots? Split recommendations. The system checks your holding period before picking a strike.
What happens Dividends pay you quarterly. Call premium pays you monthly. If a stock gets called away, the basket reconstitutes with the next qualifier. Income never stops. The system knows the difference between premium income (ordinary) and assignment proceeds (cap gains) — and picks strikes accordingly.

From one filter to dozens — same engine, same grading, same rigor. The complexity is yours to choose.

What a year looks like — “AI Capex Winners”

Jul 1 — Basket Created
Criteria applied: 8 stocks qualify. EF optimizer allocates — NVDA 22%, MSFT 18%, AVGO 15%, GOOGL 12%, META 11%, AMD 8%, ADBE 7%, CRM 7%. Axiom grades all B or higher. 10 trades to enter.
Oct 1 — First Reconstitution
ADBE’s Axiom Grade dropped to C+ (weak earnings). Removed. ORCL now qualifies (Grade B, $50B+ cap). Added. EF re-optimizes weights with new correlation data. 3 trades.
Jan 1 — Second Reconstitution
All 8 members still qualify. Grades stable. EF adjusts weights slightly — NVDA reduced from 22% to 19% (sigma increased post-earnings volatility), MSFT increased to 20%. 2 trades. Minimal turnover.
Apr 1 — Third Reconstitution: No Changes
All 8 members still qualify. All grades B or above. EF weights within drift tolerance. 0 trades. The system doesn’t trade for the sake of trading. When nothing needs fixing, it does nothing. That’s discipline, not laziness.
Jul 1 — Fourth Reconstitution
Market correction hit tech — but the Grade gate held. AMD dropped to C (regime shift hurt high-beta). Removed. Basket was already underweight AMD thanks to the EF optimizer reading higher sigma. 2 trades. The system saw it through the grade, not the price.
Jul 1 — One Year. Scorecard Published.
Total trades over 12 months: 15. One quarter had zero trades. Two members rotated. The basket outperformed equal-weight tech by 3.2% with lower drawdown. Or it didn’t — and the scorecard says so. Either way, you see every decision, every reconstitution, every trade.

Like building your own ETF — without the SEC filing, the fund administrator, or the management fee.

No expense ratio eating your returns. NDI-Baskets are free for all users — no management fee, no subscription required. The only cost is the trades themselves.

Why we show trade counts, not dollar costs
We don’t know what your broker charges you. Commission-free doesn’t mean cost-free — there’s always a bid-ask spread, and it varies by broker, by stock, by time of day. What we can tell you honestly is the number of trades each reconstitution requires. That’s the number you control. A basket that needs 3 trades per quarter is cheaper to maintain than one that needs 15 — regardless of your broker. We show you the number. You know your costs.
Current Status

NDI-Baskets are currently created and managed by the platform team through the admin console. End-user basket creation is coming soon — with the same criteria builder, EF optimizer, and Axiom grading that powers the admin version.
